Senior Facilitator – Skills & Coaching Centre (Male Candidate Preferred)

Autism Connect is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Senior Facilitator to join our Skills and Coaching Centre team.

This position involves supporting young adults on the autism spectrum and individuals with developmental support needs who require ongoing assistance with daily living skills, social development, independence, and community participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate and lead daily skills development programmes.
- Support young adults in developing independence and practical life skills.
- Assist participants with social, communication, and behavioural goals.
- Plan, implement, and monitor individual and group-based activities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to support staff.
- Maintain programme records, progress reports, and participant documentation.
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
- Liaise professionally with families, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members where required.
- Ensure the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of all participants always.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant teaching qualification, education background, or equivalent experience working with young adults.
- Experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or developmental support needs , a must!
- Strong understanding of life skills development and person-centred support practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage groups while providing individualized support.
- Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities.
- Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.

- Experience in programme facilitation, coaching, or special needs education will be highly advantageous.
Position Details
Position: Senior Facilitator
Location: Autism Connect Skills & Coaching Centre , Strandfontein Village , Mitchell’s Plain , Cape Town.
Employment Type: Part time = 3 days a week: Mondays , Wednesday and Friday.
