School Bus Driver (Autism Support Environment)

We are seeking a responsible, mature, and compassionate School Bus Driver to transport learners within our specialised autism support programme.

This role requires a calm, patient individual who understands the importance of safety, routine, and respectful engagement with neurodiverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport learners to and from the centre daily
• Always ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers
• Maintain order and a calm environment on the vehicle
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues
• Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and school policies
• Work collaboratively with support staff. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
• Proven driving experience (school transport experience advantageous)
• Of sober habits and high level of reliability
• Mature, responsible, and punctual
• Patient, calm, and able to work with children with autism or special needs
• Clear criminal record

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure

Remuneration : Market related salary relevant to the sector.
