Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurological disorder that is characterised by impairments/challenges in communication, social interaction, sensory processing and routine and repetitive behaviours.
Autism Connect Learning Centre, based in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town, South Africa, aims to function as a learning and resources centre within our community, providing a specialised early learning programme that is autism-specific. Our ethos encompasses neurodiversity and advocacy of inclusion focusing on early learner intervention.
We Teach
Autism Connect, through its connections with various role players, aims to give children with ASD the deserved chance to be the best they can be. Our interventions will be child specific, focusing on early learning development. Our focus will be on developing the child to that school readiness state. We will form partnerships with mainstream and autistic schools as part of the feedback loop.
We Support
As with all things in life, this too began with just a seed placed in the ground, watered by contributors and today this budding flower is in full bloom. So we set out to create website that would keep you in touch with the latest developments within the Autism fraternity as well as to inspire, aspire and motivate you to enhance the quality of life for your child and your family!
We Guide
Workshops for the entire family will be facilitated to help parents, sibling’s family and friends help us develop the whole child. Any query, question or just some help related to Autism – feel free to contact us. We have parent support groups that meet on a regular basis, and are open to all parents. Through our website and social media platforms we will keep you enlightened about developments within spectrum.
